By February's Light: A 28-Day Creativity Course
February. It's the shortest month, occupying the space between winter and spring.
For some, it is beloved, as this is when we start to really notice the return of daylight in the northern hemisphere. For others, it's a grey, dreary trudge to be endured until the warmer days arrive.
With this daily email course, you'll receive a bit of fact or folklore - often a blend of both - and an activity or prompt to your email inbox each morning in February. You can work on these each day, or save and return to them whenever you wish.
We will be looking at the natural world, folklore, and history as they connect with February - from the festival of Imbolc to 17th century diarist Samuel Pepys, Geoffrey Chaucer and St Valentine to the legend of the Devil's Footprints, plus foxes, frogspawn, snowdrops, and 21 more topics besides. Together we'll discover there's plenty to appreciate about this month.
Whether you write prose fiction, non-fiction, or poetry - or perhaps create art in a different medium altogether - these 28 email lessons aim to brighten up the last dull days of winter (or, depending on your perspective, the first harsh days of spring) with creative inspiration and fresh ideas to consider.
Because I don't want money to be a barrier to anyone, there are 5 choices of basic fees (all receiving the same 28 email lessons) for this course:
Snowdrop - £2.80 (10p/day)
Celandine - £7 (25p/day)
Aconite - £14 (50p/day)
Hazel - £21 (75p/day)
Blackthorn - £28 (£1/day)
And one additional option for £40, which includes detailed feedback on three poems OR two flash fictions under 1,000 words each OR a longer piece of prose produced during the February course.
**Please leave a note with your order confirming the email address where you'd like to receive your daily lessons.**
